Proton Pack

A full-size Ghostbusters Proton Pack I’m building from scratch. It’s modeled in CAD (Onshape), 3D printed on a Bambu Lab A2L, and will run on ESP32s for lights and sound. It’s based on Stefan Otto’s prop plans.

The design (CAD)

Electronics plan

Not built yet. This is the plan; none of the electronics exist so far.

Proton Pack electronics plan The rotary encoder feeds the pack ESP32. The pack ESP32 talks to the wand ESP32 over a serial link in the 4-wire hose, and drives the DFPlayer with its SD card, which plays through the speaker. Next

Finish the aluminum motherboard, buy the genuine parts, and build and test the electronics. The Neutrona Wand will get its own page later.
